The AOD rewrite stopped being a “rewrite” and became surgery

At some point I stopped fixing old scenes and realized I was basically rebuilding the whole book from the bones up. The relationship pacing changed, the continuity got audited, characters got better jobs inside the story, the emotional beats got moved around, and I became deeply annoying about making sure reveals happen exactly when they are supposed to happen. Which is good. Probably.

The biggest difference is that I finally feel like I know exactly what Angel of Darkness is supposed to be. Not just dark romance. Not just Kai being insane in expensive clothes. The whole book has a proper identity now.

I said “polish the website” and somehow rebuilt half the atmosphere

The site is in its final glow-up era now. The seasonal opening screens are bigger, Summer actually feels like Summer, ANGELS Radio behaves like a real music player, the pages are fuller, the random little clutter is being removed, and Lumi — the floating heart helper — finally has a name and a purpose instead of just silently judging everybody from the corner.

I also added proper team roles, applications, a private team lounge, welcome announcements when new Halo members arrive, role celebrations, Daily Halo news and a very obvious way to reach me when somebody actually needs me. I wanted it to stop feeling like “a website with features” and start feeling like an actual place.

ANGELSWRITEZ has a team system now because apparently I am a corporation

No, you cannot buy your way into being a moderator. I refuse 😭. Team roles are earned. You apply, you tell me why you want the role, I review it, and if I trust you with it then your whole Halo account changes around that team identity.

Moderators, Hosts, Beta Angels, Ambassadors, Creators, Lore Keepers and other roles can all exist beside your normal Halo membership. Team members also get their own private group chat with me so I do not have to communicate through interpretive dance and seventeen different inboxes.

The shop is officially in its limited-summer-drop era

I did not want a shop full of random digital files sitting there forever like a sad vending machine, so Summer 2026 became an actual limited collection. Wallpapers, journals, reading games, little fandom extras, Blood Ties pieces, AOD things and free Halo treats all belong to this era — and when Summer leaves, the collection leaves with it.

Future seasons get their own drops. Which means yes, I have voluntarily created more work for myself because apparently peace makes me uncomfortable.

Angel of Darkness finally has its new face

The blank-placeholder era is over. Angel of Darkness has its new black-and-gold gothic cover and the identity I actually want for Angelina, Kai and Sons of Darkness Book I. I needed the cover to feel like its own world instead of borrowing somebody else’s mood, and now it finally does.

And yes, the story work behind it got just as serious. Pretty cover, terrifying amount of manuscript work underneath.

ANGELSWRITEZ has seasons now. Apparently.

I wanted the website to feel different every time the year changes, so it now has full seasonal eras. Summer is currently in charge, then Fall, Halloween, Día de los Muertos, Christmas, New Year, Winter, Valentine, Carnival, Easter and Spring all get their own takeovers. The intros, colors, decorations, little sounds and even my About profile art can change with the era.

The Halo is becoming an actual place to hang out

Halo Dolls now have more than a comment box pretending to be a community. There are fandom rooms, profiles, DMs, Halo Boards, pins you can save, direct image uploads, Live Hub chat and a shared whiteboard, reader submissions and private seasonal mail when a new website era begins. I may have accidentally built the fandom a clubhouse.

The same four songs were starting to haunt me

ANGELS Radio grew from a tiny loop into a much bigger rotating station using copyright-safe music. And because I apparently cannot leave anything alone, it now has actual player controls, a queue, an Up Next view and a list you can choose songs from instead of trusting the website DJ with your emotional wellbeing.

Blood Ties is officially on Amazon

My Moretti family has officially escaped my drafts and entered the real world. Blood Ties I: Crossfire is available as a Kindle e-book and paperback. Luca, Marianna and the dangerously unsupervised La Dimora family are officially out there now, which still feels mildly illegal to say.

I am working on book two — and the title is staying secret

The next book is moving. The title is not. I have scenes, problems, feelings and characters who apparently believe my outline is a polite suggestion. Yes, it exists. Yes, I am working on it. No, you cannot have the title yet. Nice try though.
